Jennifer Foust, M.S., LPC
Jennifer L. Foust, M.S., LPC has been practicing therapy for eleven years. She is an individual, couples, and family therapist with a specialization in sex therapy and relationship issues. Her areas of clinical interest include women’s sexual issues, chronic pain and sexuality, men’s sexual issues, sexual addiction, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety.
Jennifer has a variety of counseling experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She has worked in outpatient, residential, and in-home settings. She has experience working with a variety of concerns including child’s behavioral problems, parenting concerns, chronic mental illness, depression, anxiety, relationship/marital problems, infidelity, addictions, and grief and loss. Jennifer also has experience working with sexual concerns such as sexual pain, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sexual addiction, orgasmic difficulties, low sexual desire, sexual trauma, and sexual orientation confusion.
Jennifer brings a humanistic approach to therapy in that she encourages a collaborative relationship between herself and her client. She uses cognitive-behavioral strategies to address problematic thoughts and behaviors as well as psychodynamic techniques to uncover and address the root of the problem. She works from a systemic framework believing that individuals are constantly being influenced and affected by other individuals and systems around them. Jennifer takes an active role in the session by educating and sharing her therapeutic expertise but also is supportive and empathetic with her clients as they explore and process their problems and concerns.
Jennifer earned her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has completed her coursework for a Doctorate of Education in Human Sexuality at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania and is currently working on her dissertation.
Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). She is also an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and The National Board for Certified Counselors and Affiliates Inc. (NBCC).
